Rwanda 2023: Convention Center and Local Dance

ICLR 2023 was held at the Kigali convention center. Everyday there were tour buses transporting us from the hotel zone to the convention center. However, the buses could be a longer wait, so it was more convenient to ride a motor taxi, which only cost 1000 RWF, or 1 USD.

Every morning there was a long line of conference attendees entering the building, due to slow security checks.

There was a reception dinner on the first evening of the conference. Local style buffet was served. There was a temporary tent hall built outside the convention center building, where we enjoyed performance by local artists.

I shot some pictures of the performance. First, there was the drums, followed by the choir and the female and male dancers. It was a memorable experience.
